We are working in congregational ministry in a local evangelical church known as Vida y Familia El Campello. It is part of larger family of churches known as the Vida y Familia Network. We serve as part of a pastoral team that shares preaching and teaching responsibilities and gives care to a growing international congregation made up of people from over ten different nations. Spanish and English are the primary languages spoken among us and translation is provided for both. Our pastoral work is primarily with English speaking expatriates from all over the world.
We are giving direction to a team that is working to build healthy prayer environments across Spain and Europe. We partner with the College of Prayer International to train, equip, and mentor pastors and leaders who will reach a lost world through a revived church. This aspect of our work is currently taking shape with 15 churches and church plants in Spain, England, and Italy. Each is a member of the Vida y Familia Network which is a vibrant missional movement that is part of the worldwide work of the Christian and Missionary Alliance.
We are developing mentoring relationships with the next generation of potential European leaders in cooperation with a ministry called the Bethany School. This unique ministry is part summer camp for teens, part year-round discipleship program for twenty somethings, and part residential Christian community. As a partner of the Vida y Familia Network, the Bethany School also serves as a summer gathering place for network pastors and their families who come to find rest and hospitality. “Betania” is a hive of activity that acts as the social and spiritual heartbeat of our life together in Alicante. We are currently teaching a weekly class here to 16 year-round students. Many of them are now joining us as part of our traveling prayer ministry team and several have already lead revival prayer training for teens in the summer camps.
We are in the initial phases of developing an outdoor ministry aimed at providing rest, renewal, and mission. Spain is home to a large number of National Parks, well known mountain ranges such as the Pyrenees, the famous Camino de Santiago, and the beautiful nature reserves of Asturias, Galicia, and Andalucía. We live in an area along the Costa Blanca that is known for both beautiful beaches and majestic mountains that attract nature lovers and hikers from all over Europe. Our vision is to develop discipleship retreats for those we serve in our church network and evangelistic mission for those we are mentoring through the Bethany School as we serve the local outdoor community.
Sharing the Love of Jesus with the Next Generation
At the heart of our preschool is a simple yet powerful mission: to share the love of Jesus with the children and their families. We are committed to providing quality and affordable daycare for children ages 0-5, not only for members of our church but also for families throughout our community. Each day, our staff works diligently to teach children practical skills that ignite curiosity and foster a love for learning—all while helping them grow in faith through prayer and the Word of God.
The results have been nothing short of amazing. Our children are learning how to grow emotionally, socially, and spiritually—interacting with others in ways that honor God. More importantly, they are learning about God’s love and the truth of the Bible. But the impact doesn’t stop there. Families are coming to church. Lives are being transformed. We’ve even seen baptisms as a result of the seeds planted in these little hearts. The joy is contagious—our families are happy, and our facility continues to grow and evolve to meet the needs of our expanding community.
Starting this September, we’re excited to take our mission a step further by launching a homeschool group for children ages 6-10. This is just the beginning—we hope this grows into a full primary school in the years ahead, allowing us to continue nurturing children in both their education and their walk with Christ.
To continue this incredible journey, we need your partnership. We are seeking financial support to cover startup costs for our new homeschool group, including materials, classroom setup, and licensing. We also hope to offer scholarships to families in need so that no child is turned away due to financial hardship. In addition, we welcome volunteers from the United States who feel called to serve—whether for a few months or up to a year. Most of all, we covet your prayers for the children, families, and teachers who are part of this ministry.
